Mesopotamia

Geography
Mesopotamia means 'between two rivers' in Greek. The two rivers are referring to Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Mesopotamia is marshy flat wide areas. Cities along the rivers. Settlers had to irrigate their land along the rivers. Settlers had to irrigate their land along the river to their crops. Mesopotamia has a warm climate with enough rain to grow their crops. The land is quite fertile due to seasonal rains. Early settlers used the land and timber, stone, and metals found on the mountain.

  • was 45 years old
  • probably had brown eyes
  • he died around 3000 B.C.
  • 3 faces of what he looked like
  • he has a "curse" people have died that have associated with him
Summary
Helmut and his wife were hiking when something caught Helmut's eye. He made the conclusion it was trash left behind. When he got a closer look it was a human body. Covered with ice that had started to melt. They were not sure if they were gonna report the body due to all the police questions they would get and ruin their vacation. They stopped for drinks at a near by lodge and that's when they decided to report the body to a worker. The police freed the body with doing that did make a few mistakes.

The Ice Man died around 3000 B.C. They say that he was injured during a battle or a fall before he froze to death. Some theories say he was accidentally shot due to the arrow they found in his shoulder. Others say he was being robbed for the items he had with him. His hand was injured so they say he could have fallen on his knife.

When he died he wasn't in the best health. He showed many signs of stress in the months before he died. His lungs were showing results from being around smoke from fires. He had a very small case of Lyme disease. He had very bad tooth decay and gum disease. So he was not in the nest health he could have been in.

Many people say the Ice Man has a curse. People that have had things to do with him have been killed and in bad accidents. One man helped put the body in a body bag the day of the finding a year later he was on the way to have a meeting about it and was in a bad car accident and was killed. One man made a documentary about the Ice Man and not long after died from a brain tumor.
